Yana’s (Swansboro, NC): coastal town fixture

I’ve not experienced anything quite like Yana’s.  The authentic 50s restaurant beckons with its brightly-decorated windows and signage. Elvis and Marilyn make multiple appearances.

After ordering a root beer float, I learned that breakfast is served all day long. What better to go with a root beer float than french toast, sausage, and grits?

Sure, you aren’t going to see egg-white frittatas nor gourmet hashbrowns. You will, however, get generous portions, smiling service, and all the Elvis you can handle.  Be sure to try the famous fruit fritters! We took an order with us back to our beach house to share with family. They were a big hit, instantly gobbled up.
